Atlas Takes Aim

Atlas Takes Aim is a Las Vegas based alt-rock trio made up of Mason, Joel & billie. Listeners have said their music sounds like U2, Smashing Pumpkins, early Radiohead, a harder Jimmy Eat World or a softer Tool (you can listen for yourself by clicking on the music player at the bottom of this page). The band just released their first CD “The Way Out Is Through” a full length, 18 song album.

Random Facts You Never Knew You Wanted to Know about the Band

• Joel is highly athletic. He can pick up pretty much anything that requires coordination in a few minutes and then smoke you at it.

• The band’s CD was recorded at Joel’s house and mixed and mastered by Mason.

• Mason and Billie are married (Joel is married too, but not to Mason or billie).

• Both billie and Mason are also writers.

• The cover of “The Way Out Is Through” and the group band shot in the CD booklet were taken by Joel’s wife, Elisha. The individual shots were by Mason’s brother Justin (both are professional photographers).

• Billie really hates talking on the phone.

• Joel uses a custom made DW kit. Billie plays a Fender P-Bass and Mason has something like 7 guitars but really favors his Fender Strat.

• They all live about a block away from each other.

He’s been in tons of bands and in addition to mixing and mastering Atlas Takes Aim's albums, he writes books and short stories, and dreams of one day wrestling a gator.
	*Joel Blickenstaff* Drums Born: New York Raised: Las Vegas, NV Hobbies: Making videos on Final Cut Pro Joel is one of those guys who is so naturally gifted he makes everything look easy. Put him on a skateboard, he shreds; put him on drums, he rocks; put him in a room with 20 bears, he tames them. The only thing that can slow him down are sea urchins.
	*Billie "the girl" Bundschuh* Bass Born: CA Raised: CA Hobbies: Reading Billie rocks the bass like no one else. A California girl through-and-through, Billie is the not-so-secret weapon behind Atlas Takes Aim’s awesome ninja power. She also blogs, runs an Ebay store, and writes short stories. Her first is being published in “Catastrophia” (an anthology of stories about apocolypse) in September 2010.
